About the Contest:
Celebrate the resilience and transformation of Main Street Unionville during its restoration! Enter our Main Street Restoration Contest for a chance to win amazing prizes while supporting local businesses in the Unionville Business Improvement Area (UBIA).

Contest Period:
June 9 – November 30, 2025
Total Prize Value: Over $20,000

How to Enter:
Fill in the information through the provided online form. You must also answer a skill-testing question.

Option 1: Receipt-Based Entries
Make a purchase of at least $20 (including tips and HST) at any businesses on Unionville Business Improvement Area (UBIA) during the contest period.

Multiple entries are awarded based on the following criteria:
● One entry for a minimum spend of $20.
● One additional entry for every $20 spent thereafter, up to a maximum of five entries per receipt.
● Purchases made on weekdays (Monday to Friday) qualify for double entries, up to a maximum of 10 entries per receipt.
● Receipts must be uploaded via the designated online form and include all required information.

Option 2: No-Purchase-Required Entries:
● Participants can submit a no-purchase-required entry by completing the relevant section of the entry form.
● No-purchase-required entries are limited to one entry per submission and do not qualify for multiple or bonus entries.

Contest Rounds and Entry Periods:
The contest runs in three rounds:
● Round 1: June 9 – July 31, 2025. All entry forms must be submitted by 11:59 PM on August 2, 2025.
● Round 2: August 1 – September 30, 2025. All entry forms must be submitted by 11:59 PM on October 2, 2025.
● Round 3: October 1 – November 30, 2025. All entry forms must be submitted by 11:59 PM on December 2, 2025.

Prizes for Each Round:
● 3 Grand Prizes: $1,000 in gift reward cards* each
● 80 Second Prizes: $50 in gift reward cards* each
*Gift reward cards are valid exclusively at participating businesses within the Unionville Business Improvement Area (UBIA). Winners will receive a list of participating businesses where the gift reward cards can be redeemed upon prize distribution.

Expiry Dates and Redemption Periods:
● Round 1: Gift Reward Cards must be redeemed by September 30, 2025. Winners will be notified by August 8, 2025.
● Round 2: Gift Reward Cards must be redeemed by November 30, 2025. Winners will be notified by October 10, 2025.
● Round 3: Gift Reward Cards must be redeemed by January 31, 2026. Winners will be notified by December 12, 2025.

Forfeiture of Unused Value:
Any unused portion of the Gift Reward Card will be forfeited after the specified expiry date for each round. No extensions, reimbursements, or reissues will be granted under any circumstances.

Encouragement to Redeem:
To make the most of the Gift Reward Card, we encourage winners to redeem the card as soon as possible within the designated redemption period.

Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility
● The contest is open to all residents of Ontario aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
● Employees, members, Board of Directors of the Unionville Business Improvement Area (UBIA), their immediate family members, those residing in the same household, as well as employees or representatives of any marketing agency directly involved in the contest, are not eligible to participate.

2. How to Enter and Entry Compliance
● Entries must be submitted through the designated online form and comply with contest rules.
● Receipt-based entries require a valid purchase of at least $20 at participating Main Street Unionville businesses.
● Multiple entries are allowed based on spending increments and bonus rules (e.g., weekday purchases earn double entries).
● No-purchase-required entries are limited to one per person and must comply with the contest rules.
● All entries must be complete, legible, and accurate.
● Incomplete, illegible, duplicate receipt submissions, or entries exceeding the maximum allowable per receipt will be disqualified.
● UBIA is not responsible for technical errors, failures, or omissions that may result in lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries.

3. Winner Selection and Notification
● Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries for each contest round.
● Winners will be notified via the email provided in their entry submission.
● To claim their prize, winners must correctly answer a skill-testing question.
● Failure to respond within the specified timeframe in the notification email or to correctly answer the skill-testing question will result in forfeiture of the prize.

4. Prize Redemption and Collection
● Prizes are non-transferable and must be redeemed at participating Main Street Unionville businesses by the specified expiry date. Winners will receive a list of participating businesses upon prize distribution.
● Gift reward cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used for online purchases unless specified by the participating business.
● Winners may be required to collect their prizes in person at a designated location on Main Street Unionville and participate in a prize presentation.

5. Marketing and Privacy Consent
● By participating, entrants consent to the use of their names, photographs, and likenesses by UBIA and participating merchants for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
● Personal information collected during this contest will only be used for its administration and will be handled in accordance with UBIA’s privacy policy.

6. Contest Modifications and Legal Compliance
● UBIA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the contest at any time without prior notice.
● This contest is conducted in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Ontario, including the Competition Act.
● UBIA is not liable for any errors, omissions, or disputes arising from contest participation, winner selection, or prize redemption, except where explicitly required by law.
● All decisions made by UBIA regarding contest eligibility, winner selection, and prize distribution are final and binding.

Effective Date
These Terms and Conditions are effective as of June 9, 2025.
